Prince of Wales’ College was founded in the year 1876 by one of the greatest philanthropist of our island Mr. Charles Henry De  Soysa.

In 1904 when Mr. J . G .C . Mendis was at the helm he commenced the Old Boys’ Association and from there to date there is a vast improvement and it marches forward strength to strength.
